Oh, hi!
I’m Glad You’re Here
I’m Nicole.
I’m a queer-identified fellow 40-something. I’m an extroverted introvert. I’ve learned that anything can happen at any time. That idea used to freak me out (I’m a Virgo rising and love the reassurance of a detailed plan), but I take comfort in knowing the good is just as possible as the bad. The universe has often turned my world upside down making me feel like I have no idea of what I’m doing. I’m grateful that each time I turn things right side up again, I get a little wiser, steadier, and more grounded in who I am. Am I done? Nah. Mastered it all? Nope. Do I have it all figured out? That’s adorable, but NO. I sure do appreciate the lessons though, even when they’re damn hard. And wow—it’s hard a lot of the time, isn’t it?
A wise woman* may have said it best when she described midlife as the moment when the universe pulls you close and whispers in your ear, “Time is short. Stop screwing around.” I love this sentiment. Time is a non-renewable resource and aging is a privilege. I work with Gen Xers and elder Millennials who are ready to stop screwing around. They want to make the years ahead more intentional, less armored, and more truthful than those in the rearview mirror. They want greater balance and more connection. They want more connection.
*Brene Brown wrote an awesome essay on midlife called “The Midlife Unraveling.” I encourage you to check it out.

I’m into:
Chocolate malts, good design, mysticism, cooking, large bodies of water, meditation.
I’m Not into:
Systems of oppression, overscheduling, overworking, people who don’t pick up their dog’s poop.
I think:
Transgender rights are human rights, Black lives matter, abortion is healthcare. I agree with author Elizabeth Gilbert, who says that the most revolutionary thing a woman can be is relaxed.
